I had a visit down at the sewing store yesterday (where I work part time) to see and learn how to machine stipple a quilt. I already had a pretty good idea of the premise behind it but I am a visual learner and really needed to see someone to show me so I could wrap my head around it. It just wasn't making sense to my logical mind how you didn't end up trying to move the fabric while the needle was in the down possition. I definitely was over analizing it! I am going to purchase a quilting/stippling foot on Thursday and give it a try myself. I have seen some lovely mug rugs that have gorgeous stippling and I want to be able to do that too :)
I will definitely show a sample as soon as I get it and give it a go!
